Combat Heroes Wave 3 images!

Awesome, huh? Let me give ya my thoughts on these.

Snake Eyes vs. Viper: I'm actually disappointed with this set. Snake's goggles are too big, and the Viper just doesn't look right to me, but I'll like him when I get him.

Crimson Guard vs. Shipwreck: I like it. The figures look good, and it has Polly!

Lady Jaye vs Major Bludd: The figures are okay, and Flint likes this set so I'd best get it.

Cobra Commander vs. Gung Ho: I'm disappointed with Gung Ho, Snakebreath looks good, but I'd rather have Scrap Iron or Iron Klaw.

Combat Heroes Firefly vs. Sgt. Bazooka review

Okay, with the Combat Heroes I'm gonna save the best for last.

When I saw the images of the SDCC Snake Eyes, I told my brother that Hasbro would have to make Bazooka. I'm not a fan of either character, but I thought Bazooka would translate well into the designs of the CHes (Combat Heroes). I was right, but if Hasbro is going to put out a character that isn't a core character, how 'bout Shockwave (or Shockblast), Dr Mindbender, or even Sgt Stalker? Oh, well kick back, and please put up with my raving and ranting.

Firefly is the main figure in the set. His design is great, but as I said I'm not a Firefly fan.

Firefly's backpack has great detail. It looks like the 25th backpack. (Maybe that was the idea.)

Like most Combat Heroes, Firefly has 4 points of articulation: The head, the waist, and the arms.

The TNT is okay, but nothing major here.

The rifle is a green version of the one that's with the 25th Firefly. (I know, I know.)


Sgt. Bazooka has the normal points of articulation. His figure is decent, but again not a character I'd really want.

He has the typical '85 backpack, complete with rockets.

The bazooka looks good to me, but it's like the weapons the Joe had in the 90's if you know what I mean. (too big.)

Overall rating: 2 out of 5

I think Hasbro could have waited to put out this set or not at all.

Combat Heroes wave 3 announced!

Yesterday, BigBadToystore put a listing on their site for wave 3. These will be out in Feb. 2009. Figures are as fallows.

Combat Heroes Wave 2 pics!

This is wave 2 of the Combat Heroes line-up. See pics.

Beach Head vs. Baroness: This is the first set I don't care for, but I'll get 'cause I like the Beach Head character. As for the Baroness, I'm going to use her for experimenting on. ;)

Sepentor vs. Flint: Very nice set. I'm not a fan of Flint or Serpentor, but I like the figures in this set so I'll get it.
Storm Shadow vs. BBQ: I really like SS, but I'm not his biggest fan, and I rarely think about BBQ! However, the figures look good, and I need an SS to battle my Snake Eyes.

Destro vs. Scarlett: Hasbro did a awesome job on this set, both figures look good. I'll definantly pick up this set. Besides if I don't, the Duke figure I'm gonna try to get, will

Combat Heroes Snake Eyes and Timber Review

I finally got Snake Eyes and Timber in the mail, so it only right that I review the set.

The new Combat Heroes line is nicely done. I like them just for the fact that they look goofy and bring a more humorous side to the G.I.Joe story.

As you can see I salvaged some of the packaging. This part makes a great display stand!

Snake Eyes is fairly nice the colors are much better than the colors that will come with the regular Snake Eyes in the 2-pack with Zartan and puppy Timber. Also the sword is different, looking more like a pirate's sword, than a ninja sword.

As for Timber. Very nice mold. His only point of articulation is at his neck. My mom says he looks like a cat.

Here is a chart that shows Snakey's points of articulation.

He and Timber both have peg holes on their feet for attaching to some sort of stand. they can connect on to 25th stands.

Combat Heroes!

I happen to like the new Combat Heroes line, and I'll probably buy most of 'em. I need an SDCC exclusive Snake Eyes and Timber. If you can help, please leave a comment on where to buy it.
